Helping you rewrite the story childhood left behind.
Hi, I’m Susan Jones — a therapist, coach, and author with more than 25 years of experience walking alongside children and adults as they heal the stories shaped by early life experiences.

At the heart of my work is what I call the Inner-Childhood Narrative — the lens through which we interpret our worth, our relationships, and the world around us. These narratives often grow out of trauma, disconnection, or unmet needs, and they continue to influence how we live, love, and lead today.

Whether I’m guiding a child through the pain of adoption, divorce, grief, and loss — or walking with an adult rediscovering their identity after years of self-neglect — my mission is the same: to help each person reclaim the truth of who they are.
That’s why I created The Rooted Life Method:
-
to reveal the hidden stories shaping your life,
-
to restore a sense of calm and safety within, and
-
to reimagine a future where you feel grounded, connected, and free to grow.
Joy and transformation begin when we give ourselves permission to explore what lies beneath the surface. Whether you’re helping a child walk through their story or reclaiming your own, there is a way forward — and you don’t have to walk it alone.

and why does rewriting your Soul Script matter?
Your Soul Script is the inner story that quietly shapes who you believe you are, what you think you deserve, and how you experience the world around you.

When that script is rooted in love and truth, it becomes a steady guide—offering kindness instead of criticism, calm instead of chaos, presence instead of perfection. It is the voice within that whispers: “You’re safe now. You can rest.”
But most of us were never taught to notice the messages that formed inside us. Instead, we absorbed inherited stories—beliefs born in childhood from unmet needs, misunderstood emotions, or moments when no one showed up. These early scripts create what I call the Inner Childhood Narrative—a hidden force that influences how we show up in motherhood, leadership, and love.
When we live from a wounded Soul Script, we often:
-
Over-give and over-perform
-
Abandon ourselves in search of approval
-
Struggle with shame, control, or emotional reactivity
The truth is: these patterns are not your fault. But they also are not the full story.
Healing begins the moment you choose to rewrite your Soul Script. As you do, your Inner Nurturer awakens—the grounded, compassionate voice you needed then, and still deserve now.

This is the work of reclaiming your peace, restoring your clarity, and rediscovering your voice.
This is the journey of The Rooted Life Method: creating a life anchored in safety, truth, and growth.

Asking for help isn’t weakness—it’s a courageous act of strength and self-leadership.
We can’t guide our children, teams, or communities down paths we haven’t first walked ourselves. Wholehearted living begins with self-awareness, emotional healing, and the bravery to face our own story.
When we tend to the parts of ourselves that feel unseen, overwhelmed, or unfinished, we become more grounded, more compassionate, and more effective in every role we hold. This is the work of re-rooting your life.
